Above the clouds, set within a garden of rare plants.

Dago · Bandung, West Java

Above the clouds, set within a garden of rare plants.

A 180° panorama of Bandung from two open-air terraces, 900m up on a hillside that's a working plant nursery — with the city on one side, mountains on the other, and mist rolling in beneath you most mornings.

The view

A full 180° view of Bandung — city lights, distant mountains and, on the best mornings, a sea of cloud beneath the terrace.

Villa Yucca sits at 900m above sea level, high enough that the low cloud settles into the valley below you at dawn.  From the two terraces, the view opens uninterrupted from the northern mountains around to the southern city skyline. Nights cool to 14–18°C, the valley glitters with city lights after dark, and the mist typically rolls back in with sunrise.

The garden & terraces

A 30-year-old nursery, still working — with a rare-plant collection you're free to wander.

The 1,400 m² grounds have been cultivated as a plant nursery for three decades. Terraced beds descend the hillside, planted with a collector's mix of rare tropicals, frangipani and the 30-year-old Yucca tree the villa is named for. Two outdoor terraces are set into the garden itself: the upper terrace with a custom BBQ table, the lower terrace beside a manicured lawn with a marble dining table that seats 12 — both looking straight out over Bandung.
